Description David E. Narváez 2010-02-08 01:57:26 CET
BOINC package includes BOINC Manager, which requires wxGTK.

Package versions:
>> @@ Package: sci-misc/boinc-6.10.18 branch: 5, [repo_sabayonlinux.org]
>> Available: version: 6.10.18 ~ tag: NoTag ~ revision: 0

Check out boinc ebuild in Gentoo, in particular, the DEPEND variable which has:

    X? (
        media-libs/freeglut
        media-libs/jpeg
        x11-libs/wxGTK:2.8[X,opengl]
    )

DEPENDS do not apply to entropy.

It is in the RDEPEND however.

Not sure what this bug is stating however? "BOINC requires wxGTK" doesn't seem
like a bug to me?

The problem is that BOINC (in particular, BOINC Manager) requires wxGtk, but it
is not listed in the dependencies of the boinc package in Entropy. Sorry for
the bad description.

What I mentioned about the ebuild was that, in Gentoo, if you compile it with
the X flag (to include the manager), it requires wxGtk, so I guess entropy
should add it too.

I now noticed I should have reported this as a bug on Entropy, right?
Comment 3 David E. Narváez 2010-04-04 02:30:03 CEST
I think this bug can be closed now, right? I'm checking the dependencies on
current version and wxGTK was added, so that's it.

I'm marking it as fixed, if y'all don't mind.

Thanks!

No problem at all David, Closing.
